About OSAP

Founded in 1984, the Organization for Safety, Asepsis & Prevention (OSAP) is a non-profit global community of dental educators, consultants, clinicians, policy makers, researchers, professional associations and industry representatives.

Our Mission: To be the world's leading advocate for the safe and infection-free delivery of oral care

Our Vision: Safe dental care for people everywhere

OSAP supports oral healthcare workers and the public through quality education and timely, relevant infection-prevention and safety information. We also provide resources to better manage regulatory and safety challenges, foster "community" among those who are interested in dental safety and infection prevention, and identify, develop and support leaders in dental infection prevention and patient safety.

OSAP is a 501c6 membership association providing a voice for leadership and compliance with dental infection prevention and safety policy development, education, research and service.

OSAP also maintains the OSAP Foundation, a 501 c3 tax-exempt educational charity to amplify and expand the Association's efforts by raising funds from the healthcare industry, foundations and the public sector.

OSAP is privileged to have a strong group of OSAP Friends who further integrate the mission into global health initiatives.
