I would like to know how other dental schools are handling the following issues for
Dental Adjunct Faculty (Paid) and Dental Affiliate Faculty (non-Paid) as we refer to
them here at VCU School of Dentistry.
1. Is Health Screening a condition of employment?
Does that include annual TB Screening?
2. If there is an bloodborne exposure in the Dental Clinic to one of these categories, who provides the testing of the part-time faculty (both paid and unpaid) and who pays for that testing if it is needed.
3. What other regulatory issues might affect these categories of Faculty at your school?
I would appreciate any feedback on these questions.
