FDA Recommends Universal Testing of U.S. Blood Supply

The FDA revised its guidance recommending universal testing of the blood supply for Zika virus to protect the 1 million units of blood products that are collected from volunteer donors each month, announced Peter Marks, MD, PhD, the director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research.
