In regard to hepatitis B vaccination, does the employer have to pay for the antibody response check, which occurs after 10 years?
There is currently no U.S. Public Health Service recommendation for testing the presence of surface antibodies to hepatitis B virus 10 years post-vaccination. This is a decision that must be made between the individual and their physician. If the physician recommends testing as a routine precaution, the cost of that testing would not be the responsibility of the employer.
