OSAP joins the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC) in commemorating the 25th Anniversary of International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW) October 16-22. IIPW provides an opportunity to bring attention to the importance of infection prevention.

This is an excellent time to teach, reinforce, and model good infection control practices.

International Infection Prevention Week and You
  • The Challenge

During International Infection Prevention Week, OSAP asks "What are you doing to break the chain of infection?” Post your answer on OSAP's Facebook page, and then challenge your staff, colleagues, or students. You may also wish to make your challenge by email, referencing the OSAP website.

 

  • IIP Week Membership Special

Join OSAP or renew your membership online, by phone or by fax between October 16-31 and receive a $50 discount to one of OSAP's educational programs in 2012. At the end of this period, OSAP will send out an E-mail containing the discount code and instructions to be applied towards either the 2012 OSAP Symposium or the Federal Services Course Registration Fee.

ContagionContagion is the new movie about a global pandemic. Visit OSAP's Contagion page to learn how to use the movie as an opportunity to reinforce good infection control practices.

Take the IC IQ test to see how much you know about influenza and its spread.  Access free online educational toolkits, links to maps showing current outbreaks, pandemic influenza resources, and additional movie tie-in materials such as posters, activities, and the movie trailer

Enter the OSAP Contagion contest. The first 100 entrants will receive a free "Wash Your Hands” luggage grip. One lucky entrant will be chosen to receive a free registration for the three-day 2012 OSAP Symposium "Connecting to Drive Compliance” in Atlanta along with a VIP tour of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
