What are the ideal conditions for instrument storage?

Cassettes keep instruments in organized sets. They keep them separated and fairly well exposed during cleaning and sterilization, and they help reduce the direct handling of instruments (and as such, the potential for injury). The use of instrument cassettes may also extend the life of instruments with delicate working ends by protecting them during the handling that occurs as instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and stored.
