During the 6th National Biosafety Conference a Landmark Declaration was signed proposing a Regional Commitment to ensure provision of dental services across the Region with strong adherence to accepted biosafety and infection control measures by 2010.
The Declaration highlights the role of OSAP as a key resource for technical guidance and assistance towards achieving this goal.
This Declaration was signed jointly by the Dental Authorities of the Panamanian Ministry of Health, the Panamanian Social Security and the President of the Panamanian Dental Association (AOP). The Declaration was officially delivered by the Panamanian Authorities to the President of FOLA and the FDI Representative, with the agreement that they will give ample diffusion to the Declaration among all Dental Associations of the Region for their review and final endorsement during the meeting of the Presidents of all Dental Associations of the Region, which is taking place this week in Caracas, Venezuela.
