    IMPLEMENTING WHO PATIENT SAFETY CURRICULUM INTO DENTAL SCHOOL

 

DESCRIPTIONThe World Health Organization (WHO) developed a Patient Safety Curricular Guide for faculty and students in all healthcare disciplines, including dentistry. This presentation will describe how the National University of Mexico School of Dentistry implemented the WHO curriculum including a study of adverse events, identifying both high risk procedures and potential Patient Safety Champions and conducting a train-the-trainer program.
