Can you use antimicrobial soap on protective glasses?

Antimicrobial hand soaps should be safe for use on protective eyewear. It is important to ensure that soap is thoroughly rinsed from the eyewear following washing. Repeated exposure to soaps and other materials may cause fogging or discoloration of lens material over time, requiring replacement of the eyewear.
