Overview

The 2022 OSAP Dental Infection Control Boot Camp™ is a fast-paced, foundational-level educational course presented by national and international experts in dental infection prevention and patient safety.

On January 4, 2022, after careful consideration, the OSAP executive committee of the Board of Directors decided that the course will be offered virtually. Click here to view the official announcement.

The course curriculum is based on the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings-2003, the 2016 Summary of Infection Prevention Practices in Dental Settings: Basic Expectations for Safe Care, the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (1910.1030), and the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (1910.2000). Due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic, course content will also cover the most up-to-date interim guidance and related regulations.

Participants will leave this course with an understanding of relevant infection control laws, regulations, guidelines, standards, and best practices. They will also leave with practical tips on how to implement them in their practice setting.
