December 16, 2020 (ATLANTA) - The OSAP Annual Conference brings together the most innovative thinkers in dental infection prevention, occupational health, and patient safety. The 2021 OSAP Annual Conference is scheduled to occur June 3 – 5, 2021, in Tucson, AZ. The program will cover a variety of topics relevant to dental infection control and safety, including evolving guidance, compliance, and emerging infection prevention and safety issues.

OSAP invites infection control clinicians, educators, and researchers worldwide to submit abstracts for poster presentations at our 2021 OSAP Annual Conference.

This Call for Poster Abstracts is an opportunity to share infection control research with national and international colleagues. OSAP welcomes abstracts that consist of literature reviews, original research, meta-analyses, and case reports. Individuals at all career stages are encouraged to submit one or more abstracts.

All abstracts undergo an extensive peer review process; details of the criteria are listed in the guideline document. OSAP may publish accepted abstracts in a special issue of the OSAP Journal of Dental Infection Control and Safety. James A. Cottone Award for Excellence in Investigative Research

For the first time since 2015, OSAP will award the James A. Cottone Award for Excellence in Investigative Research, which includes a cash award of $500 and a recognition plaque, to the abstract that receives the highest review. Michelle Lee states, “We are thrilled to be able to bring back this award to recognize excellence in dental infection control and safety research, and are thankful for Patterson Dental’s willingness to sponsor this year’s award.”
