Q: Why should I become a member?

A: OSAP is the only dental membership association for oral health care professionals that focuses exclusively on dental infection prevention and patient and provider safety. OSAP provides education, training, and credentialing to help our members implement dental infection prevention and control and safety laws, regulations, guidelines, standards, and best practices. 

Q: Who can become a member?

A: OSAP invites all individuals interested in dental infection prevention and control to become members. Our members include individual clinicians, group practices, educators, researchers, consultants, trainers, compliance directors, policymakers, and industry representatives.  
 

Q: What are the membership benefits?

Q: What kinds of memberships are offered?

A: OSAP has different membership options at varying price points. A detailed comparison of these options can be seen here.
 

Q: If I become an OSAP member, can a consultant come and offer OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens and/or HIPAA training?

A: These are not services OSAP offers.
 

Q: Does OSAP offer discounts on membership dues?

A: Not currently. The membership dues are flat rates.
 

Q: When do OSAP memberships expire?

A: Memberships are valid for one year based on the date of dues payment. For example, if payment is made on October 15, 2021, the membership will be valid through October 14, 2022.*
*OSAP Corporate and Super Sponsor memberships are valid for one calendar year (expiration date will be December 31).
 

Q: How do I join?

A: To become a member, click Join Now. If you would prefer to join over the phone, please call us at +1 (410) 571-0003. We are available Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Eastern.
 

Q: Can I mail in a paper membership application?

A: Not currently. We suggest joining online or calling us at +1 (410) 571-0003. 
 

Q: What happens after I become a member?

A: After you become a member, you will receive a confirmation email from [email protected] with access to our digital orientation guide. This interactive guide will walk you through how to make the most out of your OSAP membership!
