The 2012 Symposium, an annual three-day conference, is brought to you by the Organization for Safety, Asepsis & Prevention (OSAP). 


What You Will Learn at the 2012 OSAP Annual Symposium

The 2012 Symposium Program is designed to present cutting-edge information, skill building sessions and numerous opportunities to learn, share and grow.  After attending the Symposium, participants will be able to:

CDC Tour - 
Limited availability

$25/ticket includes round-trip transportation from Loews Atlanta Hotel to CDC headquarters and guided tour of David J. Sencer CDC Museum. Valid government-issued ID is required for entry onto CDC's campus. (Driver's license for US citizens; non-citizens must bring passports)

Tour 1 (40 people): Departs hotel at 9 am, returns at 11 am

Tour 2 (40 people): Departs hotel at 11:45 am, returns at 2:15 pm

Calling all Consultants
Consultants Corporate Collaboration "C-Cubed”: 1 – 4 pm. No CE.
Developed for consultants and lecturers.

Description: A unique collaborative session during which a limited number of companies can brief dentistry's infection control consultants on key products or services. Consultants will be able to provide feedback from their experience in working with numerous dental facilities. Both the companies and the consultants will walk away with actionable information that will add significant value to their symposium participation. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to interact with a select group of infection control and safety companies, to learn more about their products and to share your experiences as a consultant. You will be able to establish or enhance your relationship with these companies and engage in conversations that can benefit you as a consultant, the company, and ultimately the end users of the products. Consider bringing your fact sheet or business cards to present to the 10 companies.

Fee: Complimentary to consultants who are registered to attend Symposium but sign-up for a C-Cubed ticket to attend.

Calling all Educators and Instructors
Educators Preconference - "Infection Control…It's Academic” – Facilitated by Nita Mazurat DDS and Molly Newlon DDS MA: 1-4 pm. 3 hours CE.

Description: A unique interactive networking opportunity designed to share the common challenges in infection prevention and safety faced in educational settings. The session will concentrate on two major issues: how faculties are tracking student compliance and innovative ways to address instructor compliance.

Fee: Complimentary to all educators and instructors who are registered to attend Symposium but must sign-up for an Educators' Preconference ticket to attend.

OSAP Auction at the 2012 Annual Symposium. 6 - 7:30 pm

The Auction at the Annual Symposium is one of OSAP's largest fundraising activities. Proceeds help benefit the OSAP Foundation in its efforts to develop and expand infection prevention & safety programs and initiatives. The Auction website is now live, please click the link above to donate auction items or to bid on existing items.

Saturday, June 23
City of Atlanta Tour and Dine-Around. 6 – 10 pm

Atlanta – a modern world-class city with a rich and passionate history. OSAP reprises its popular annual tour city tour and dinearound. Learn more about the birthplace of CNN, Coca-Cola and Gone With The Wind. From its modern (and quite arresting) skyscrapers to its history seeped in the Civil War, Atlanta is rich with stories, sights and scenery. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the highlights of The Big Peach and enjoy dinner at one of several selected eateries.

Fee: Before 3/31: $35 for tour and transportation (dinner is on you). After 3/31: $50 for tour and transportation. Space is Limited, REGISTER NOW.

Registration deadline is June 11, 2012. After that date, please bring a copy of the registration form with your payment plus $50 to the meeting. Cancellations received in writing by June 11 are eligible for a refund. A $50 administrative fee will be applied to all refunds. Cancellations received after June 11 are not eligible for refunds.

Special Accommodations
If you require special accommodations to participate in the 2012 Symposium, please include a description of your needs along with your registration.

Notice: OSAP takes photos and videotapes during the Symposium. By registering, you give OSAP permission to use any images taken at the Symposium in which you appear, as well as any written comments you submit on evaluation forms.

Founded in 1984, the Organization for Safety, Asepsis & Prevention (OSAP) is a non-profit global community of dental educators, consultants, clinicians, policy makers, researchers, professional associations and industry representatives.
