   Speaker Bio


Dr. Camila Pinelli is an Assistant Professor of Dental Ergonomics, Biosafety practices in Dentistry and Professional Orientation at Sao Paulo State University (Unesp), School of Dentistry, Araraquara, Brazil. She worked as a dentist of the city hall in a basic health unit for four years in Araraquara. Dr. Pinelli got her Doctor of Dental Science (DDS), her Master of Science (MSc), and her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Piracicaba Dental School, Brazil. Dr. Pinelli also took a specialization course in Public Health, got a post doctorate degree at Sao Paulo State University (Unesp), School of Dentistry, Araraquara, and an MBA in Health Management and Infection Control at FAMESP, Sao Paulo. She has been a member of the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) since 2014. Her experience with qualitative data analysis is related to dental students’ and patients’ perceptions of infection control practices in Dentistry. She has published research, developed technical reports and printed guidelines as a member of the local Committee of Biosafety, at Araraquara School of Dentistry, and has also coordinated university extension programs devoted to patient safety and infection control improvements for dental professionals and students and also for the general public in Araraquara. She is also a member of the Group “GerAção Biossegurança” which is made up of 25 selected Brazilian experts in Infection Control in Dentistry coordinated by Liliana Donatelli. Such a group is an OSAP member as well.
