Marguerite Walsh  is Vice President, Product Merchandising for Henry Schein Dental. She is responsible for ensuring, maintaining and surpassing Henry Schein Dental’s position as market leader in merchandise product offerings and category market share, while meeting internal expectations relating to gross profit, inventory management, and marketing expenses. Marguerite is also responsible for further developing Henry Schein Dental’s expertise in selected product categories and developing plans that will result in increased market share and/or profitability. In addition, Marguerite is responsible for specialty sales programs and new and existing supplier relations. Marguerite joined the Henry Schein team in 1991 and has been in the dental industry for more than 35 years.

Douglas Risk, DDS, ABGD

Dr. Risk is currently in private practice and is Director of Professional Services for Fusion Dental Partners, an affiliate of American Dental Partners Incorporated.  His current position includes compliance assurance and accreditation preparation for a 7-Office Dental Practice.  After graduating from Georgetown University Dental School in 1987, Dr Risk joined the US Air Force where he served in several clinical assignments before being selected to attend the 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center.  Following residency had several clinical and command assignments as well as an assignment on staff with the Air Force Surgeon General, culminating as the Director of the Air Force Dental Evaluation and Consultation Service.  He deployed to the Middle East and Central America.  He retired in 2017 after 30 years distinguished service.  Dr Risk currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors for OSAP, is a Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry and is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Kathy Eklund, RDH, MHP

Kathy Eklund, RDH, MHP, is Director of Infection Control and Occupational Health, and Research Subject and Patient Safety Advocate at Forsyth Institute in Boston. She also is an adjunct assistant professor at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services and Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene, where she teaches senior level courses in oral health research. She is a past chair of OSAP and also served on the OSAP Foundation board of directors. She volunteers and works with a number of professional organizations, and serves as faculty for the New England AIDS Education and Training Center (NEAETC) and HIVdent.org.

He started with DENTSPLY Ceramco in June 1993 as a Territory Sales Representative. From there, his career has grown to include leadership roles in special markets, merchandising, and marketing.

Ms. Eve Cuny is the Assistant Dean for Global Relations and Director of Environmental Health and Safety at Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry. Ms. Cuny is a consultant to the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs and is a member of the National Occupational Research Agenda Council in the Health Care and Social Assistance sector. She has served as an expert reviewer and advisor to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevent ion and is past chairperson of the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) . She received the James Crawford Award for lifetime achievement in dental infect ion control in 2009. She is an internationally recognized expert in infect ion control in dentistry; publishing, consulting and lecturing throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Matthew R. Ellis, MPH, CIC, REHS

 
LCDR Ellis serves as the U.S./DHHS- Indian Health Service (IHS) Infection Prevention and Control Program Manager, assigned to the IHS HQs Office of Quality. LCDR Ellis served as the Portland Area Institutional Environmental Health Officer Health, from 2010 to 2018, as the sole provider of infection control and environment of patient care support to 43 federally recognized Tribes in the region. LCDR Ellis is Co-Lead and an architect of the regional healthcare accreditation readiness team and served collaterally as the Public Health Emergency Management Coordinator. He has provided Agency-wide support on infection control issues and led multiple infection prevention training initiatives across the IHS. LCDR Ellis is CBIC Board Certified in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC), a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS), and an authorized OSHA General Industry Trainer. LCDR Ellis is a United States Army infantry veteran and has completed healthcare infection control and safety position tenures with a private healthcare consulting firm, University of Kentucky Medical Center, and the Veteran’s Healthcare Administration.

Theresa Mayfield, DMD

Dr. Mayfield recently retired as the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.  Dr. Mayfield is a former member of the United States Air Force. She has been a hospital dental consultant and has been in private practice. In addition to her clinical and didactic teaching responsibilities, Dr. Mayfield has been an investigator on Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grants involving community-based dental care for people living with HIV/AIDS, development of emergency preparedness curriculum for dental professionals; and interprofessional education and collaborative practice. She is a member of the American Dental Association and component societies, the American Dental Education Association, the American Association of Public Health Dentistry, the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors, and OSAP.

Karen Gregory, RN

Ms. Karen Gregory has over 20 years experience working in the outpatient environment, both at the front line delivering patient care and in the management arena. Being passionate about both employee and patient safety, she takes every possible opportunity to improve the quality of healthcare for all involved. She joined Total Medical Compliance in 2006 as Director of Compliance and Education where she is responsible for the development and supervision of compliance programs within the organization.

David Reznik, DDS

Dr. David Reznik is Chief of the Dental Service for the Grady Health System in Atlanta, Georgia. He also serves as Director of the Oral Health Center of Grady’s Infectious Disease Program, a program he founded 23 years ago. He has been providing oral health care services for people living with HIV disease in the Atlanta metropolitan area for over twenty-eight years. He is founder and President of the HIVdent (HIV Dent Alliance), a not-for-prof it organization of concerned healthcare providers committed to assuring access to high quality oral health care services for people living with HIV disease.

Jessica Wilson is an International Business Development Manager with Hu-Friedy Manufacturing Company.  She is an international speaker, trainer and educator focused on Infection Prevention and Infection Control Compliance.  Jessica is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and has a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a focus in dentistry from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. She is a member of the American Dental Assistants Association (ADAA) Education Council, and a chair member of the National Speakers Association Georgia chapter.
