August 7, 2019 (ATLANTA) — The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) announces registration is now open for Dental Infection Control Boot Camp™. Held January 27th to January 29th in Chicago, IL at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, this is a 3-day intense, fast-paced educational course presented by national and international experts in dental infection prevention and patient safety.

“Dental Infection Control Boot Camp™ is a fantastic fundamental-level course that gives participants a comprehensive review of all the basics in dental infection control, including employee and patient safety” Michelle Lee, OSAP Executive Director stated. “Our goal is to ensure that attendees leave Boot Camp feeling educated and empowered to be infection control champions when they return to their dental offices.”

Early-bird rates are available now through October 31 on OSAP’s website.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe disease transmission and principles of infection prevention and control in a variety of oral healthcare settings
  • Identify relevant infection control laws, regulations, guidelines, standards, and best practices
  • Use quality assurance measures (e.g., direct observation and feedback) to ensure accurate implementation of recommended infection control practices

The Dental Infection Control Boot Camp™ will provide information and resources to help attendees better address infection prevention and safety challenges in their own practice settings. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with those who share their interest in this critically important topic area. This course offers 25+ hours of CE credit and each attendee will receive a copy of the newly updated OSHA & CDC Guidelines: OSAP Interact Training System – 6th Edition workbook, checklists, tools, and much more. In addition to the main course, OSAP will be offering a TeamSTEPPS pre-conference workshop on Sunday, January 26.
